In the world of Canterwit, able Canters are encouraged to travel to Earth to spread the growth of their flowers. There are many advantages to doing so which include: balanced magic distribution in the realm, opportunities to acquire resources from the human world, to ensure protection of the realm and gaining magical strength from the joy of those on Earth who love their flowers.

AlderleyIntelligence, compassion, leadership. The house of Alderley attracts Canterwit who are fascinated by knowledge and have an endless curiosity when it comes to learning in any and all forms. Canterwit in this house by career are usually philosophers, teachers, librarians, or anything that provides them with a passion for discovery and knowledge in virtually any field. Their representative flower is elderflower and their house colour is red. They have had a strong rivalry with Delamere for many years.

DelamereStrength, valour, determination. Delamere house represents the greatness accomplished by power. They are undoubtedly the rowdiest of the houses. Canterwit attracted to the Delamere house are athletic, competitive and strong. Careers connected to this house may include a wide variety of sports, competitiveness, physical labour and all other forms of handiwork. Their representative flower is the daffodil and their house colour is yellow. Their rivalry with Alderley is deep rooted!

RostherneBeauty, creativity, passion. This house attracts artists of all trades, from saddlery, to painting, to just about any form of art and creativity. Even in areas such as gardening and cuisine. Unlike the rowdy Delamere and Alderley, this house refuses to taint their regal and beautiful image with furious rival-based scuffling. They are Canters who appreciate beauty in all forms like none other. Self expression is very important to them. Their representative flower is the rose and their house colour is pink.

WrenburyKindness, magic, healing. Wrenbury are the most peaceful house of the bunch, with very self sacrificing natures. The hobbies they pursue often benefit or help others in some way. This house values selflessness, research of healing magic and having a kind heart. Many Canters in the Wrenbury house have careers in nursing, health, nutrition, magical studies, and just about any job that provides generosity and help to their peers. Their representative flower is the forget-me-not and their house colour is blue.

House captains
Nodens is the captain of Alderley. He is highly intelligent, with a lot of knowledge between those two ears! He's a huge bookworm, and is mostly found in the library. He is determined to remain unshaken by Branwen.

Branwen is the rough-and-tumble captain of Delamere. She is by far the most fitting for the job - she's loud, wild and loves a good scuffle. She spends most of her time poking fun at Nodens, and is also incredibly protective of Sulis.

Peitho is the charming captain of Rostherne. His suave good looks and personality have earned him quite a lot of fans. He's incredibly reserved and surprisingly good at hiding his vanity. As a tailor, he enjoys creating ravishing outfits for his peers.

Sulis is incredibly kind hearted, shy and sweet. She is the captain of Wrenbury, and her meek exterior is not to be judged! She's fiercely powerful at magic, although she is very modest about her skills. She spends a lot of time with Branwen and Peitho.

Apparel
Once you have decided which house your Canter is best suited to represent, it's time to show some house pride! House apparel comes in many forms, and is worn by Canterwit at high peak festivity events and house competitions.
In addition to the official house colours, there are also official floral patterns for each house, demonstrated on the bandanas! These floral patterns can be implemented on banners, ribbons, and just about anything. The fabric is given out to Canters of each house to make any sort of apparel they like. Sometimes house apparel is incredibly simple, such as face paint or ribbons of each house colour. |

HOUSE QUESTS & TIERS
In the DeviantART group, Canterwit owners are welcome to participate in House Quests to earn House Points, which allow them to upgrade their Canter's tier and obtain special rewards! House Quests can be entered at any time and all art forms are accepted, from literature, to illustrations, to crafts and more!
In order to participate, either draw or commission work from an artist of your Canterwit involved in any of the listed activities in this journal which appropriately responds to the house they're in. Your Canterwit must be registered, and entries must be submitted into the "House Quests" group folder. Because these are House Quests, it is optional for you to draw your Canterwit wearing their house apparel! It's not an absolute requirement, but it's a suggestion!
When you rank up, you will receive a rosette for you to add to your Canterwit’s registration sheet or their ToyHouse page!

THE TIERS
KNIGHT :: Knight Canterwit are highly skilled. They demonstrate intermediate level skills of their pursued interest. Knights have access to full MYO apparel sets - such as full carousel-inspired outfits, and small weapons or armour. They also have access to uncommon traits.
Cost to advance to Knight tier: 100 House Points + 20 Crystal Petals |
DUKE :: Duke Canterwit are exceptionally skilled at their craft. They have unlimited access to full armour and weaponry, even decorating themselves with magic - such as having a glowing mantle, or halo runes. They also have access to uncommon and rare traits.
Cost to advance to Duke tier: 150 House Points + 25 Crystal Petals |
EMPEROR :: Emperor tier is the strongest that a Canterwit may be in their house. Their skills are extraordinary and they are very well known and respected. Emperor Canterwit have access to legendary and rare traits! This includes becoming part dragon, having wings, or a precious stone mantle.
